Modern infrared cameras have a high thermal  sensitivity

 

In this thermogram the hands are resting against the subjects jumper
This thermogram was made about 5 seconds after the hands had been removed from the subject jumper. Note how an after image of the hands appears on the jumper (heat transferred from the hands to the jumper)
